Donating diapers made easier than ever

You guys probably know that my cause of choice is collecting diapers for women who struggle to afford them. I’ve joined my local diaper bank, Help A Mother Out, as a member of the advisory board. If you haven’t read about the founder, Lisa, please do.

Amazing news for us this month is that Huggies has partnered with the NHL to help raise awareness of diaper need. It is now possible for us all to donate money towards diapers by texting.

There will be diaper donation stations at upcoming NHL games, but even if you don’t know a hockey puck from a hole in the ground, you can just pick a team name and text it to 501501 in the US (and 20222 in Canada) to donate $5 and help diaper babies who need it.

Need a team name? Go to the NHL site and pick one. Or use my team “Sharks”.

And ladies and gentlemen, allow me to present Ellen Pompeo giving you the same message.

Although I have been hired as an ambassador for the Huggies program, I share this news because I want to help all the diaper banks around the country get as many donations as possible.

Please help cover every little bottom by texting the name of your favorite (or mine) hockey team to 501501.
