I love creating something silly and commemorative just because. Since my birthday this year was super lame — oh yeah, I told people that celebrating with a two-week-old meant 3am cupcakes and more birthday to enjoy, but come on — I’m on the lookout for a do-over. Our friend, Mommy Poppins, suggested making a holiday.
How often do you wish you could just slow down and spend a quiet day together with your family? How about creating your own family holiday? You can do anything you want. It could be around a theme, you can exchange gifts, or just hang out together for a day with no distractions.

Love this…all the birthday’s in our house are bunched up in the fall and winter so we have months without any holidays…
