I’m too cheap. I thought about this for my wedding but I couldn’t justify the extra cost.

I usually just make my own stickers or print out my own photos and add them to the inside or seal the envelope with it.

I made them at PhotoStamps.com for our first family Christmas card. We were sending it out to a bunch of people who hadn’t seen the baby yet, and so we took a photo of his sweet little face for the stamp. People went nuts over them. Alot of folks saved that card and the envelope.

I got my parents those stamps two years ago, with a picture of their dog on it. A little more, yes, but a) they’re difficult to shop for sometimes and b) they loved it, so all good.

My parents gave me a giftcard for a sheet of these stamps before my daughter was born. They were really easy to make, and I use them when i send letters or cards to family. I’m not sure I’d spend the money myself, but I agree that they are a great gift.

I also used zazzle.com for a wedding present for a couple who had EVERYTHING. It was personal and appreciated.

I did this for my wedding invitations. I was mailing them out right around the time they increased postage last time. The pretty stamp sets the had for weddings (one for the reply envelope, and another for the heavier invitation) were the wrong denomination, and I didn’t want to mess up the look by tacking on 2 cent stamps everywhere. The new wedding stamp sets weren’t going to be out for a couple of months, so I made custom stamps in the denominations I needed instead. Yeah, it was a little more expensive, but it was a drop in the bucket compared to all my other wedding expenses.
