Sonja, if your bra is correctly fitted, there is absolutely no problem with underwires. Unfortunately, very few women are correctly fitted, even those fitted by bra fitters !

(*sigh*) Of course, this option would work nicely if I wanted to buy a new, well-fitting non-nursing bra now.
(I can’t help myself… I have to say that underwire bras are not recommended for nursing boobs because they can cause plugged ducts.)
