Over at MuchMoreThanAMom.com, Rylan’s mommy challenges us to finish this sentence and share with each other.
I’ll go first, based on an experience from last week:
Real moms wish their kid wasn’t sick so that they could go to daycare.
Real moms fear they can’t handle ten hours at home with their sick kid.

Real moms lock themselves in the bathroom just so they can think!
… leak from their eyes and their boobs when they get emotional.
… can eat faster than anyone else in the house. Or else.
… will stick their hands in poop and vomit without a second thought.
… are occasionally terrified of their kids.
… think their own kids are the absolute most __________.
… wonder where their old lives went.
… may never fit into their old jeans again.
…lose their patience and yell at their kids, and then feel miserable about it.
…sometimes want a minute to themselves after work to check their email before dealing with their kid.
…want to have a career but worry about all that time they’ll miss with their rapidly growing baby.
…pick a piece of food off their child and eat it because that’s easier than getting up and throwing it away.
…feed their child a Trader Joe’s quiche for the second time in one day (despite knowing that’s not the best nutritional choice.)
…feel proud when their child voluntarily says “Thank you,” or “Yes, please.”
…silently agree when strangers say, “You have the most beautiful son (or daughter).”
…melts inside when their kid gives them a hug or a special smile.
