Thanks, Jennifer! I looked for what you were describing and found this one with wire letters that were hard for me to define as either urban or rustic. Wordmeisters, help me out!

I found an Etsy store (don’t remember which one0 where they sold letters made of the bendable craft wire bent into the letter of choice, wrapped in different fabric remnants then decorated with a few buttons or other notions and a simple rick rack or ribbon loop to hang on the wall. I was going to see what I could do with the idea cutting letters from cardboard and wrapping in fabric…the kids initials as ornaments and oversized for wall decor.

hi–I met you at Blogher and bought your book for my soon to arrive Grandbaby–anyway—I love this idea! and since the baby is not born yet–I have a few years (at least 2) to find all the letters—here I go to the Depot Of Creative Reuse (in Oakland)….what a great gift idea for a grandchild;-)

This is a great idea for all those little onsies that your baby grows out of so quickly. Someone suggested to me that I cut them up and make a patchwork blanket out of them, but I don’t sew. But, I can cut them up and mod podge them onto letters!
