We recently started working with the founder of Citrus Lane to help get the word out about their new service. I’m (no-longer-secretly) hoping that when my baby comes, she’ll give me my own gift subscription! Each month, mom receives an age-appropriate box of goodies starting at the baby shower or any month afterward. It’s like a CSA or wine-of-the-month-club for babies.
In their own words:
Citrus Lane is all about introducing parents to the baby products recommended most by real moms and dads. We fill our monthly boxes with 4 or 5 baby products along with helpful parenting tips and tricks. Each box is tailored specifically to your child’s age and stage, from newborn up to 18 months. The combined retail value of the products ranges from $30-40, so it’s always a great deal.
Want to win a 3-month subscription?
Share the wisdom of your experience. Tell us in the comments what awesome product you discovered after seeing another parent use it. For a second bonus entry, give a little LIKE to Citrus Lane on Facebook and comment again that you did.
On Friday July 29th, we will select a random winner. Cost of a 3-month subscription is $75 and included items are valued up to $120. Prize to be delivered to U.S. residents only, beginning at whatever month you choose.

We are consultants to Citrus Lane compensated for our time. And we like the boxes. And I wish I could win this contest.

I saw a woman changing her son on an awesome changing mat at target And had to ask about it. It’s by padamm. I love it! Folds up easily, looks cool on BOTH sides, and has pockets to stash diapers, wipes, and even a few spare onesies, just in case.. Lol

I discovered the Ring Sling at a La Leche League meeting where we all brought our favorite baby carrying devices – so much easier (and less hot) than the Moby (which I also love, but not so much in the summer)

Wow this service is really cool!
I had been loving the muslin blankets that everyone around me had since I had my daughter 2 years ago…I am now loving them even more as I swaddle my 2 week old son in them:)
My favorite baby product that I learned about from another mom is/was the mesh feeders for early eating…we’re using them now with frozen bm for teething!
Moby Wrap and a Swaddle Me blanket- love them both!

A friend turned me on to Dr. Bronner’s pure castile soap in Baby Mild. You dilute it (one part soap to two parts water) and put it in a foaming soap dispenser and it’s AWESOME for washing breast pump parts. It foams and scrubs up well and rinses away FAST and completely. It’s kind of expensive, for soap, but I love it — especially when I’m pumping several times a day.
We bought a Baby K’tan wrap after seeing a friend with it. We had a Moby, and liked it in theory, but it was way too cumbersome and we never used it. We LOVE the K’tan and our little guy is in it all the time!

I love my Ergo baby carrier and I first discovered it from my best friend. The infant insert is so awesome! I’ve carried my lil guy in it since he was born and I went on a 2h hike a few days ago and my back felt great even though he’s now 3mo and getting bigger all the time!

My favorite baby product has got to be my gDiapers – I can use cloth or biodegradeable inserts (that can be flushed or tossed), see my baby’s bum in bold colors, and know we’re doing something good for the earth at the same time.

Awesome product from another mom: didymus sling! I also like Citrus Lane of Facebook.
I saw someone get an Itzbeen timer at their baby shower, and on impulse, I registered for one too. SO glad I did. This device tells me the last time I fed my little guy, the last time he had his diaper changed, how long he’s been asleep, and I set the fourth time for how long it’s been since I pumped last. This thing is crucial for a first time, brand new mom like me!
Favorite baby products:

Hugamonkey sling!Great rec!
The Aden and Anais blanket is great as a nursing cover up, too! Not only is it big enough to tie around your neck leaving plenty of room to cover up your boob and a a large squirming baby, but it is very breathable.
I liked citrus lane on FB:) and I really like the Baby Bjorn soft bib- who wouldn’t want an indestructible bib?
a hotsling, before slings were “cool,” about five years ago. i got the strangest looks from people in the grocery store, but it really saved me those first few months.

Absolutely love this concept! The product I had to have after seeing another parent use it was the Beco baby carrier.
California baby overtired and cranky bubble bath—they jokingly (I think) say it turns your baby instantly happy—but there’s really something to it, a few minutes in the calming scent and she’s like a new kiddo!
With my 3 week old I love the swaddle blankets for him, and our kolcraft bassinet with built in night lite which makes it easy to see for mom & dad at 3am.
