We recently started working with the founder of Citrus Lane to help get the word out about their new service. I’m (no-longer-secretly) hoping that when my baby comes, she’ll give me my own gift subscription! Each month, mom receives an age-appropriate box of goodies starting at the baby shower or any month afterward. It’s like a CSA or wine-of-the-month-club for babies.

We fill our monthly boxes with 4 or 5 baby products along with helpful parenting tips and tricks. Each box is tailored specifically to your child’s age and stage, from newborn up to 18 months. There are alot of products I used that have been recommended by other moms but the one that i love the most is the electric nose sucker! By far the best $20 ive ever spent!
Aden & Anais swaddle blankets…. LOVE them!
I used lots of ideas pilfered from other more experienced Mama’s, but most specifically the Velcro swaddlers for those newborn months, and a mini food blender/grinder for making baby food. I use my little mini Cuisinart almost daily for making baby food or little edible chunks for my daughter.
The Miracle Blanket aka baby straightjacket…the only swaddle my son couldn’t break out of.

My sister told me about the Itzbeen-a little electronic tool for keeping track of how long it’s been since the baby ate, got a diaper change, or fell asleep. So handy those first few weeks when I couldn’t think straight!
My friends all swear by the Miracle Blanket. I’m excited to try it when my little one arrives.

I love my Moby and am glad I was convinced by a friend to try it from day one. Remodeling a foreclosure with a 6 week old baby would not have been possible without it. I fondly remember nursing while stripping old wallpaper and quietly thanking my friend

The Snuza was the thing I discovered and I cannot imagine our lives without it!
Wow, this is brilliant! I’d say top few recommendations from friends has been an electric nasal aspirator, those straps/lassos to keep sippy cups attached to a highchair and binkies attached to an outfit, and a portable pizza cutter (one with a blade guard) to keep in the diaper bag so that you can cut kids food easily and quickly while out at a restaurant.
My Moby wrap…when I was trying to decide what carrier to buy, a mom who lived nearby let me try several kinds she had and I just fell in love with it.
This is awesome! I’m going to go ahead and say that Gripe Water was a must in the early months!
We also love Aveeno’s body wash and lotion for excema.

my moby wrap! i didn’t get one the first go-round, but had some friends that did and i was jealous. it was one of the first things i bought when i got pregnant again.
The sophie giraffe was a favorite toy of my firstborn that I discovered in our mom’s group at Kaiser.

Aden and Anais swaddle blankets…absolutely love. Also, (these aren’t sold anymore, but…) JJ Cole essentials bag: small but carries just enough!
I saw some moms using the Baby Bjorn bibs – and bought one for my little guy! We are in love with them! So easy to clean and re-use!! No staining!

Those Summer Swaddle Me blankets!!! After learning how to swaddle “the real way” I totally turned my nose up at these “cheating” velcro contraptions. However, after we actually USED one with our first baby, I was a changed woman! Never again with the plain old blanket swaddle!!

I got my ergo after reading about it and seeing pictures in blog land online and I love love love it! I want one for the house and one for the car so I can quit carrying it back and forth!
I have to admit, even though I was not a fan of the pacifier, I would have been lost without the wubanub that I poached from a smart mom in our moms group! Once my son had more motor skills both he and I had no trouble picking it up when it fell out! Not to mention making the car ride more peaceful! No bouncing!!!

I saw all these moms using the Ergo and having their babies look all happy and not having to struggle getting that stroller in where it shouldn’t ever go! I promptly bought one and have been a convert ever since!
