wow! I’m a fan of this site!~~ And love this design!! Keep up the great work!! :)

Becky Senf September 13, 2008 at 9:38 pm

I’m delighted to see the site includes pre-school activities – I read Rookiemoms when my little guy was actually little – now he’s three and a half and I’m back for more as I expect a little girl (next week!!) At times I’m so focused on the needs and interests of a three-year-old, it’s hard to imagine that a baby will be a challenge. I know she will, though, and I’ll be glad to have some advice and reminders. Thanks for the slick new look!

Stephanie September 14, 2008 at 9:14 am

I found the site in my last month of pregnancy, and I’ve been checking back (at least) weekly ever since. Just the name “Rookie Moms” gives me something to hold onto during those times I feel anxious and unprepared for this new job. Thanks so much for this site, it’s been a real pick-me-up for this rookie mom :)

I love the new site, very eye-catching! Today I’m loving on your infant Halloween costumes post, we have a baby due any day now and I am a huge Halloween fan, so I’ve gotta get working on an idea. Thanks!!!

Vicky from Secret Mom Thoughts September 14, 2008 at 12:32 pm

I love the redesign. My favorite part is the activities separated by age group.

Laura W. September 14, 2008 at 12:40 pm

I love that the browse activities by age is HUGE and so easy to find (upper right hand corner). Not only that, but the page just looks more fresh and not as “busy”. Great Job!

Vanessa Willis September 14, 2008 at 3:49 pm

I love the way you can search for information according to your kids’ age ranges. And the new design is easier to read! Thanks for all the time and energy you put into this wonderful site!

Jessica September 14, 2008 at 4:57 pm

I love the Thesis theme, I think it looks really nice and I love the activities sorted by age — but can you ditch the black dashed lines around that area? I think all it needs there is another gray line separating it from the content below.

Overall, love it, great job!

Lani September 14, 2008 at 6:30 pm

I’m loving the big blocks separated by age–right at the top. I like coming to check out all the different activities…but always forget to go search for the ones that will work for me *right now*. So the easy to see organization is a boon to me and my “free time”!

Dana September 14, 2008 at 10:20 pm

It looks very chic! I like the new design!

Charissa Canfield September 15, 2008 at 7:08 am

I really appreciate your activities sorted by age. When you aren’t around other children sometimes you aren’t sure what works for them at what age, for example when to start peek-a-boo.

Jessica Dawson September 15, 2008 at 8:39 am

I’m NOT a rookie mom…or at least I thought I wasn’t! Your site has so many constructive ideas that have added depth and complexity (the GOOD kind) to my mothering. My stay-at-home dad husband is loving it too!

Sonali September 15, 2008 at 9:29 am

Love the new look! It looks clean and fresh, and same great content! Cute pic!

Kelly September 15, 2008 at 2:16 pm

As a new mom-to-be in a big city, your blog makes me feel like part of a community already. I especially like the city-specific suggestions and am excited for adventures with my little one. Thanks!

Anna September 15, 2008 at 5:22 pm

Who knew the perfect site could be more perfecter. Love it!

Annie H September 15, 2008 at 6:50 pm

The realistic mom-to-be necessity list! How many people have tried to talk me into needing so much stuff, but the three of us have to share 950 SF of space in downtown Boston! There are only so many receiving blankets and toys that a newborn baby needs! Thank you for some sanity in a over-cluttered world.

J-ROK September 15, 2008 at 7:48 pm

I like the easy breezy organizational buttons by age. I also like the top banner… makes me think of a bakery or chocolate shop.

Andrea September 16, 2008 at 7:44 am

I love the new streamlined look – and being able to seperate by ages.

Keep up the great work :)

Go Amie September 16, 2008 at 12:38 pm

I love that you have buttons for browsing activities by age. I think it would be great if you had a link in the same place to browse activities by tag. I know that tags are below, but it would be very convenient to hop to them right away!

MF September 16, 2008 at 12:45 pm

I’m soon to be a new mom. I love the fact that I can find idea based on the child’s age. So many books and blogs that I look at only have ideas for older children. I’m anxious to try them out on my own little one.

lisa b. September 16, 2008 at 12:47 pm

I like the way the activities are broken down into ages on the right side.

Patti September 16, 2008 at 12:53 pm

Congrats on the new look! It looks fantastic!

Erin R September 16, 2008 at 1:25 pm

I love the new look, it is very clean. I love the wonderful ideas for getting out and doing things with my new little guy to help me from letting myself get stuck in the house. You do a great job and I can’t think of anything you could better personally. :o )

CE September 16, 2008 at 1:30 pm

I like how it is separated by age!

Sky September 16, 2008 at 1:34 pm

I love the site…it’s so user friendly. Keep up the good work…I know it’s not as easy as it looks!!

Cher September 16, 2008 at 1:40 pm

Your activity suggestions rock and are so easy to navigate!!!!

Spoodles September 16, 2008 at 1:51 pm

I like that you can browse by age of baby. This site is obviously geared toward doing, rather than just buying stuff, which most mom sites seem to end up being about. I like that. Keep up the good work!

lindsey September 16, 2008 at 1:58 pm

I love the extensive list of toddler activities. I’ve put many of them on the calendar to try out in the next few weeks.

Maybe some holiday related activities? DS is already really excited about Halloween.

Amy September 16, 2008 at 2:15 pm

I am brand new to your site (thanks Prizey!) and am IN LOVE! You have so much good, handy, practical information presented in such a fun way. I guess I don’t really have anything substantial to say other than I’m going to enjoy hopping around here a little more this afternoon :) Thanks!

Melissa September 16, 2008 at 3:47 pm

Ok, first I have a confession… this is my first time to your site. However, I love it already! There are so many great things that I don’t even know where to begin. As some other commenters pointed out, I really just like that it’s by down to earth moms, for down to earth moms. What more can I ask for?

Tuesday September 16, 2008 at 3:58 pm

I love this new redesign. I love that you have things organized in baby’s months. Perfect for finding something quickly!
Great work

Kay September 16, 2008 at 4:10 pm

I love your activity ideas! I’ve bookmarked your site so I can read the rest of them later! :)

Karen September 16, 2008 at 5:01 pm

I am another fan of the age blocks. I also like that it’s all cross-referenced. I love crafty ideas for any age.

rebecca September 16, 2008 at 6:12 pm

I haven’t seen your site before, but before I even read the detail, I was impressed by the large boxes with the ages in. Thats what all moms want – no messing, looking at the small print. I am not officially a rookie because I have a boy aged nearly 4, but I have started fertility injections (last night) so know I’m going to be a rookie again within the year. Yipee. – believe me, after 5 years it will feel new again.

I also LOVED that there is a prenatal area on the site – yours is the first I have seen to do that. I have added you as a fave. Good luck with your business and children.
ps I have a BSc (Hons) in IT, touching on end user software design – if you did this nip and tuck by yourselves, you should be very proud. Sorry for the essay. Good luck to all.

jessica September 16, 2008 at 6:14 pm

i love the activities by age section..it helps me to think of something unique and fun to do with my daughter

Roberta September 16, 2008 at 6:16 pm

Hi, the site is looking really good. I’ve only just seen the different areas for things to do (mine is LA _ never knew about the crying theatres at The Grove). Did you have it before?
Thanks for the sweeps.

Sandy September 16, 2008 at 6:44 pm

love the site, love the fact you are real- not a fake I am perfect- you folks show you are human and make us laugh

Jackie H September 16, 2008 at 6:45 pm

Ah, I love how you’ve streamlined the site – it makes it more inviting! Can I suggest more streamlining, esp on the main page? The 2 sidebars actually caught my attention first. Maybe separating them and putting them on the two sides? Either way, thumbs up for great content! :)

Shay September 16, 2008 at 7:00 pm

I stumbled on your site today. This is great ya’ll look soooooo cute! Wish I had a friend to go though my pregnancy with.

Lisa C. September 16, 2008 at 7:04 pm

i love your site1! i actually wouldn’t change anything.

Elizabeth September 16, 2008 at 7:15 pm

I like the big blocks of age-appropriate activities, and the color scheme is so fresh and bright!

Sarah W September 16, 2008 at 7:52 pm

I love the activities by age. It is nice not to have to sort through things to find the appropriate info. Your design is so crisp and sleek. I love it!!

I would so enjoy this giveaway (as would the other commentors! LOL). So fun!!

karissa September 17, 2008 at 3:55 am

who is the super organized fanatic? kidding! I love your site b/c it is always so CLEAN, and organized, set up by age, and not bombarded by advertisements that you can’t find what is related to your site and what is linking you to another site! beautiful!

Alexis September 17, 2008 at 5:04 am

I love the design of the site. Especially the colors. Lavender and brown look very nice together.

Tiffany September 17, 2008 at 5:22 am

I love how convenient it is to browse activities by the age of the baby. This is very useful!
