I love your site and your book. It’s great inspiration to those of us who get a little antsy and bored at home and like to do new things with our babies. My baby is now a toddler and I’m happy that a lot of your activities work for toddlers as well. We tried potching the other day and my little guy had a great time. I also enjoyed making pants out of old t-shirts. Thanks!

2 sarah 09.11.08 at 12:12 pm

Wow! I actually clicked over earlier today and was so excited by the “7-9 MONTHS” block staring me in the face, because, hoo boy, I need it. Beautiful! And so easy to find what I (desperately) needed.

3 mel 09.11.08 at 12:29 pm

I love that activities are separated by age.

4 Celeste 09.11.08 at 12:45 pm

I really like the clean look of the site and the simple color scheme–very appealing and easy to navigate. I have two just-turned-2 year olds and have come across lots of great tips here–thanks!

5 Magic Mom 09.11.08 at 12:46 pm

I love this site. I actually feel happier when I read it, similar to when I hear the theme music to “The Office.” I have a five year old and a three year old and I just started reading it. I wish I would have known about it when they were babies. I would not have felt so alone in my post-partum fog. You are both very inspirational to me, so thank you.

6 Wendy Copley 09.11.08 at 12:50 pm

I’ve been enjoying your blog for many years now. A friend of mine turned me on to it early on (at post #4 or 5, I think!) and I’ve been following your suggestions ever since. It’s very helpful that I live in the East Bay too because I can do many of the exact same things you guys are doing.

7 Stephanie 09.11.08 at 12:56 pm

I love your site and have been reading it for months now. I have a 15-month old and have tried quite a few of the activities from your site. When I first started reading your activities and the blog - I felt right at home - you both are real people, with real kids and real lives - thank you for putting yourselves out there for all of us to relate to, laugh with and commiserate with. I do like the new look and feel (and the color scheme) of the site - makes it even easier to find activities for the right age group. Keep on blogging!

8 Terri Peters 09.11.08 at 1:01 pm

Your site is amazing. As a first time mom, there are so many suggestions that have helped me in my journey so far. You make me feel like it’s okay to not always have all the answers or know what I’m doing - and sometimes you help figure out what to do! You guys rock!

9 Hannah 09.11.08 at 1:04 pm

I have used so many ideas on your site! The memory game with family photos was a huge hit with my neice, the spelling with Flickr site inspired me to make fabric blocks with iron-on letters that spell out my friends’ babies’ names…the list goes on. Only thing is, I need to use more of these ideas for my own poor baby, who is sick of her friends getting such cute gifts, while she is left with generic stuff from the store. You are both brilliant!

10 mama k 09.11.08 at 1:07 pm

LOVE the site and always recommend it to my new mom friends. A few posts that stand out to me are… the repurposed board book father’s day present, halloween costume ideas and suggestion to take the baby to a cafe by yourself. :)

11 Kim 09.11.08 at 1:09 pm

I like the age-appropriate activities blocks - they’re eye-catching but not overwhelming, easy to find, and it’s quite obvious what they are. I’m hanging out in the Months 1-3 block, but when it comes time to move into a new block, I won’t have to hunt all over the place for the Months 4-6 block.

12 VDog 09.11.08 at 1:39 pm

LOVE the new look. LOVE LOVE LOVE the new blocks for age groups. Not loving the black dashed box around it, though. How does it look with the gray dashed lines?

The sidebars are a little overwhelming for me, BUT you have lots of useful information there, so not sure what you could really do about that.

I’d ditch the sitemeter for an invisible StatCounter, or pay for the upgrade on sitemeter if you don’t want to switch. I’ve heard great things about woopra as well, and they have a hidden counter.

GREAT job ladies!! Lookin’ GOOOD!!!

13 Toblerone from Simple Mom 09.11.08 at 2:18 pm

Yep, looks great! A superb theme choice, if I do say so myself.

14 Andrea 09.11.08 at 2:35 pm

I love that you can browse activities by age. Maybe it was always on the site, but I never noticed it before. Thanks for sharing all your great ideas with the mommy world!

15 Jen E 09.11.08 at 2:57 pm

I love the browse by age option - very well organized. The whole new design is fab by the way. :)

16 Meg 09.11.08 at 4:10 pm

I really like the age group boxes on the new site.
Being a new mom, I love your activity suggestions and use many of them with my 10-week old daughter.

17 Peanut 09.11.08 at 4:54 pm

I love the age blocks! With a two year old and a baby, it needs to be easy for me to find or I won’t use it. I’ve been enjoying all your tips!

18 Adriana 09.11.08 at 6:58 pm

I LOVE your tags. It’s so easy to find some specific kind of activity that you’re looking for (like “cheap”). The other thing I love is your sense of humour, we all need it being moms. Oh, and the “a week in ….” topic is the best! I haven’t used it yet but I will for sure, you never know what to do with kids in a new city!
P.S: the new look is awesome.

19 Lynn 09.11.08 at 9:51 pm

Wow, the site is DEFINATELY easier in the eye! I am so loving the new age range quick clicks! Nice work ladies! Devine!

20 paige 09.11.08 at 10:46 pm

love the new look of the site! thanks for the opportunity for such a great giveaway :)

21 beckyfay 09.12.08 at 12:42 am

i love the new site! i have been following you guys since way before i got pregnant and you have saved me so many times when i thought i would lose my mind from sleep dep/newborn/almost toddler craziness. i was so happy to see the new layout, it makes it much easier to search new ideas and activities for me and the little one. thank you!

22 Karen B 09.12.08 at 5:40 am

I really appreciate the activities by age level.
As an expecting mom, I am anticipating using it for years to come.

Thanks for all the sharing.
Karen

23 Melodie 09.12.08 at 6:27 am

I love the age range organization. My son is two months old today, and I love that you help me to feel like I’m not alone! Thanks for all the great ideas!

24 Jill W. 09.12.08 at 9:09 am

I love the simple clean look, and the buttons by age option. I just love reading new ideas for things to do with our DD! Thanks!

25 Isabelle M 09.12.08 at 9:27 am

I was hooked as soon as I found this site (through 101 Cookbooks). What I like best are the One week in another city suggestions. I’m looking forward to travelling with my baby and it’s great to go places you feel welcome (family friendly was something that totally eluded me until I had a baby). But all the activities sound great and I’m taking lots of notes, trying as many as I can and passing them on to friends.

I love this site. Thank you for providing me with inspiring ideas!

26 Liz Gumbinner 09.12.08 at 9:32 am

The site looks amazing and love the new “your hostesses” shot on the homepage. Go rookie moms!

27 Lindy 09.12.08 at 11:09 am

I love that the “toddler” block is there for easy reference as well as the activities list, which are always a great resource for me!! Thanks!

28 Amelia 09.12.08 at 11:09 am

I love the new design. I like that it’s white behind the text now, makes it easier to read. My favorite thing is the collection of buttons at the top right so you can find activities by age! I just really enjoy reading the blog in general, it’s witty and timely and makes me feel better about the job I’m doing as a newish mom.

29 Lauren Averill 09.12.08 at 12:08 pm

love the new look. great job ladies (as always). my favorite part of the site is the age by age blocks. makes it easy to navigate. keep up the good work.

30 Margie 09.12.08 at 12:47 pm

I love the very easy to find and navigate age blocks in the top righthand corner. Thanks for making it so easy to find what I’m looking for!

31 Emily 09.12.08 at 1:14 pm

I love the new design! It makes it a lot easier to find the activities that work for my 3-month old. I also like the more prominent display of who wrote which because I could never keep straight who said what before. And I’m hoping to get a copy of the book very, very soon!

32 Amanda K. 09.12.08 at 1:19 pm

I appreciate that you’re cognizant that no one is a real
pro at parenting; rather we’re all learning together, and the best thing is to just share what little tricks work for you. There is no condescension. Isn’t that the last thing a new mom needs? Thanks ladies!

33 Judith 09.12.08 at 1:56 pm

I think I can second (and third and fourth) the age-separated activities.

34 kristen 09.12.08 at 2:49 pm

I love that you have the activities organized by age. My first child is due in November and I’m stocking up on ideas for when he arrives. I especially enjoy the “did do” list post. I’m an avid list maker and always fall into the trap of dwelling on what I didn’t get done instead of what I did. Thanks and congrats on the new look!

35 Rob 09.12.08 at 2:50 pm

I love the activity and nutrition suggestions - especially the recent one for how to have a fun “stay-cation” (and preschool car wash) - and I really love the look of the new site, very clean and bright… Go Rookie Moms!!!

36 Emily 09.12.08 at 3:42 pm

Any time I am feeling a lull in activity with my baby, unsure of what to do for a change of pace for both of us, I can look at your site. Without wasting our precious together-time, I can quickly click the link for her age and find an activity to spice up our day–that is the best thing about the blog design. Thanks for keeping the ideas coming!

37 Cecilia 09.12.08 at 3:51 pm

I love the activities arranged by age of baby! What a great way to search for age-appropriate fun. Your site is looking fantastic! And what a great prize package you’ve put together!

38 emily 09.12.08 at 4:49 pm

love the new design! So fun

39 Megan 09.12.08 at 5:24 pm

I like the way you’ve organized everything by age. It will make it easier to find cool tips as my daughter ages.

40 Shani 09.12.08 at 5:27 pm

I love your activity and outing suggestions! None of my local friends have kids and my daughter just turned one. Your site is like having an experienced friend nearby!

41 Natalie Streber 09.12.08 at 6:42 pm

I love the style of the site. I am no designer but it seems like a sophisticated, modern style mixed with some vintage feel. Very serene and inviting. And of course I love the content! I have picked up some fun ideas from you ladies (even if I am not a rookie:).

42 Suzanne 09.12.08 at 8:00 pm

I love that you’ve broken down the activities into age categories - it’s great when I need to come in and get an idea for my kids!

43 Carleigh 09.12.08 at 10:30 pm

Every time I see a new post from you on my RSS feed I get very excited to visit your site and read it. You always make me smile with your sense of humor. Thanks for all the tips.

44 Kara 09.13.08 at 12:16 am

I love the new look! It’s so streamlined. My favorite thing would have to be the easy access to the archives that are organized by age groups. Brilliant!

Thanks for all you do. Keep up the great work, girls!

45 Lisa 09.13.08 at 2:29 am

I just found your website a few days ago . . . I’m a new mom of a 3 month old baby girl and am not doing too much before the next round of feeding, burping, diaper change, begging her to go back to sleep. I LOVE your site - you guys are hilarious and I’d rather read you than sleep! Thanks so much for the laugh-out-loud chuckles I get from your posts.

I read the below lines and was hooked. It described me to a tee!

“I am tired, and distracted with details of keeping tabs on the baby nail clippers and making sure there is always milk in the house. Lame? Maybe. But I’d guess I’m not alone. Anyone else feeling oppressed by having to check in with their partner before they take a shower?” (My husband doesn’t even check with me before he books tee times on Saturday mornings!)

46 Kristen M. 09.13.08 at 6:43 am

I have loved this blog through two newborns and faithfully check a few times per week. It is also on my list of blogs to check out to new mom friends, but the new format blew me away!!

So fresh and new…keep it up.

Fingers crossed….KRISTEN

47 Amy Tucker 09.13.08 at 7:25 am

I have been by a few times on your site, I am intrigued but not yet a subscriber. I think more interesting stories about you folks would add a personal connection.

Otherwise, pretty good layout, user friendly and easy to read.

Regards,
Amy

48 Pamela 09.13.08 at 9:58 am

Like many others…I love how the activities are searchable by age!

49 DramaMama 09.13.08 at 2:10 pm

I have enjoyed the encouraging nature of your website. One post I remember was when you suggested we set the timer and GET IN THE PICTURES w/our babes! There’s hardly any pics of me on our computer! I started doing that and told all my girlfriends so now we compare pics we took at home doing random stuff…I love the new site! It’s cool how you made the categories a little more user friendly. Congrats!

50 Claire 09.13.08 at 7:52 pm

I love the redesign! I love the different age buttons, but I also love the middle column that has so many different categories. It really gives you a sense of all the different information you have. Fabulous!

51 zmama 09.13.08 at 8:19 pm

wow! I’m a fan of this site!~~ And love this design!! Keep up the great work!! :)

52 Becky Senf 09.13.08 at 9:38 pm

I’m delighted to see the site includes pre-school activities - I read Rookiemoms when my little guy was actually little - now he’s three and a half and I’m back for more as I expect a little girl (next week!!) At times I’m so focused on the needs and interests of a three-year-old, it’s hard to imagine that a baby will be a challenge. I know she will, though, and I’ll be glad to have some advice and reminders. Thanks for the slick new look!

53 Stephanie 09.14.08 at 9:14 am

I found the site in my last month of pregnancy, and I’ve been checking back (at least) weekly ever since. Just the name “Rookie Moms” gives me something to hold onto during those times I feel anxious and unprepared for this new job. Thanks so much for this site, it’s been a real pick-me-up for this rookie mom :)

54 Shannon H 09.14.08 at 10:08 am

I love the new site, very eye-catching! Today I’m loving on your infant Halloween costumes post, we have a baby due any day now and I am a huge Halloween fan, so I’ve gotta get working on an idea. Thanks!!!

55 Vicky from Secret Mom Thoughts 09.14.08 at 12:32 pm

I love the redesign. My favorite part is the activities separated by age group.

56 Laura W. 09.14.08 at 12:40 pm

I love that the browse activities by age is HUGE and so easy to find (upper right hand corner). Not only that, but the page just looks more fresh and not as “busy”. Great Job!

57 Vanessa Willis 09.14.08 at 3:49 pm

I love the way you can search for information according to your kids’ age ranges. And the new design is easier to read! Thanks for all the time and energy you put into this wonderful site!

58 Jessica 09.14.08 at 4:57 pm

I love the Thesis theme, I think it looks really nice and I love the activities sorted by age — but can you ditch the black dashed lines around that area? I think all it needs there is another gray line separating it from the content below.

Overall, love it, great job!

59 Lani 09.14.08 at 6:30 pm

I’m loving the big blocks separated by age–right at the top. I like coming to check out all the different activities…but always forget to go search for the ones that will work for me *right now*. So the easy to see organization is a boon to me and my “free time”!

60 Dana 09.14.08 at 10:20 pm

It looks very chic! I like the new design!

61 Charissa Canfield 09.15.08 at 7:08 am

I really appreciate your activities sorted by age. When you aren’t around other children sometimes you aren’t sure what works for them at what age, for example when to start peek-a-boo.

62 Jessica Dawson 09.15.08 at 8:39 am

I’m NOT a rookie mom…or at least I thought I wasn’t! Your site has so many constructive ideas that have added depth and complexity (the GOOD kind) to my mothering. My stay-at-home dad husband is loving it too!

63 Sonali 09.15.08 at 9:29 am

Love the new look! It looks clean and fresh, and same great content! Cute pic!

64 Kelly 09.15.08 at 2:16 pm

As a new mom-to-be in a big city, your blog makes me feel like part of a community already. I especially like the city-specific suggestions and am excited for adventures with my little one. Thanks!

65 Anna 09.15.08 at 5:22 pm

Who knew the perfect site could be more perfecter. Love it!

66 Annie H 09.15.08 at 6:50 pm

The realistic mom-to-be necessity list! How many people have tried to talk me into needing so much stuff, but the three of us have to share 950 SF of space in downtown Boston! There are only so many receiving blankets and toys that a newborn baby needs! Thank you for some sanity in a over-cluttered world.

67 J-ROK 09.15.08 at 7:48 pm

I like the easy breezy organizational buttons by age. I also like the top banner… makes me think of a bakery or chocolate shop.

68 Andrea 09.16.08 at 7:44 am

I love the new streamlined look - and being able to seperate by ages.

Keep up the great work :)

69 Go Amie 09.16.08 at 12:38 pm

I love that you have buttons for browsing activities by age. I think it would be great if you had a link in the same place to browse activities by tag. I know that tags are below, but it would be very convenient to hop to them right away!

70 MF 09.16.08 at 12:45 pm

I’m soon to be a new mom. I love the fact that I can find idea based on the child’s age. So many books and blogs that I look at only have ideas for older children. I’m anxious to try them out on my own little one.

71 lisa b. 09.16.08 at 12:47 pm

I like the way the activities are broken down into ages on the right side.

72 Patti 09.16.08 at 12:53 pm

Congrats on the new look! It looks fantastic!

73 Erin R 09.16.08 at 1:25 pm

I love the new look, it is very clean. I love the wonderful ideas for getting out and doing things with my new little guy to help me from letting myself get stuck in the house. You do a great job and I can’t think of anything you could better personally. :o)

74 CE 09.16.08 at 1:30 pm

I like how it is separated by age!

75 Sky 09.16.08 at 1:34 pm

I love the site…it’s so user friendly. Keep up the good work…I know it’s not as easy as it looks!!

seeryusfam@msn.com

76 Cher 09.16.08 at 1:40 pm

Your activity suggestions rock and are so easy to navigate!!!!

77 Spoodles 09.16.08 at 1:51 pm

I like that you can browse by age of baby. This site is obviously geared toward doing, rather than just buying stuff, which most mom sites seem to end up being about. I like that. Keep up the good work!

78 lindsey 09.16.08 at 1:58 pm

I love the extensive list of toddler activities. I’ve put many of them on the calendar to try out in the next few weeks.

Maybe some holiday related activities? DS is already really excited about Halloween.

79 Amy 09.16.08 at 2:15 pm

I am brand new to your site (thanks Prizey!) and am IN LOVE! You have so much good, handy, practical information presented in such a fun way. I guess I don’t really have anything substantial to say other than I’m going to enjoy hopping around here a little more this afternoon :) Thanks!

80 Melissa 09.16.08 at 3:47 pm

Ok, first I have a confession… this is my first time to your site. However, I love it already! There are so many great things that I don’t even know where to begin. As some other commenters pointed out, I really just like that it’s by down to earth moms, for down to earth moms. What more can I ask for?

81 Tuesday 09.16.08 at 3:58 pm

I love this new redesign. I love that you have things organized in baby’s months. Perfect for finding something quickly!
Great work

tuesdayef (at) aol dot com

82 Kay 09.16.08 at 4:10 pm

I love your activity ideas! I’ve bookmarked your site so I can read the rest of them later! :)

83 Karen 09.16.08 at 5:01 pm

I am another fan of the age blocks. I also like that it’s all cross-referenced. I love crafty ideas for any age.

84 rebecca 09.16.08 at 6:12 pm

I haven’t seen your site before, but before I even read the detail, I was impressed by the large boxes with the ages in. Thats what all moms want - no messing, looking at the small print. I am not officially a rookie because I have a boy aged nearly 4, but I have started fertility injections (last night) so know I’m going to be a rookie again within the year. Yipee. - believe me, after 5 years it will feel new again.

I also LOVED that there is a prenatal area on the site - yours is the first I have seen to do that. I have added you as a fave. Good luck with your business and children.
ps I have a BSc (Hons) in IT, touching on end user software design - if you did this nip and tuck by yourselves, you should be very proud. Sorry for the essay. Good luck to all.

85 jessica 09.16.08 at 6:14 pm

i love the activities by age section..it helps me to think of something unique and fun to do with my daughter

86 Roberta 09.16.08 at 6:16 pm

Hi, the site is looking really good. I’ve only just seen the different areas for things to do (mine is LA _ never knew about the crying theatres at The Grove). Did you have it before?
Thanks for the sweeps.

87 Sandy 09.16.08 at 6:44 pm

love the site, love the fact you are real- not a fake I am perfect- you folks show you are human and make us laugh

88 Jackie H 09.16.08 at 6:45 pm

Ah, I love how you’ve streamlined the site - it makes it more inviting! Can I suggest more streamlining, esp on the main page? The 2 sidebars actually caught my attention first. Maybe separating them and putting them on the two sides? Either way, thumbs up for great content! :)

89 Shay 09.16.08 at 7:00 pm

I stumbled on your site today. This is great ya’ll look soooooo cute! Wish I had a friend to go though my pregnancy with.

90 Lisa C. 09.16.08 at 7:04 pm

i love your site1! i actually wouldn’t change anything.

91 Elizabeth 09.16.08 at 7:15 pm

I like the big blocks of age-appropriate activities, and the color scheme is so fresh and bright!

92 Sarah W 09.16.08 at 7:52 pm

I love the activities by age. It is nice not to have to sort through things to find the appropriate info. Your design is so crisp and sleek. I love it!!

I would so enjoy this giveaway (as would the other commentors! LOL). So fun!!

My email is sarahw56@gmail.com

97 Marcy 09.17.08 at 3:34 am

I just love how easy it is to navigate! I can always find the area I need :) Looks great girls!!!

98 karissa 09.17.08 at 3:55 am

who is the super organized fanatic? kidding! I love your site b/c it is always so CLEAN, and organized, set up by age, and not bombarded by advertisements that you can’t find what is related to your site and what is linking you to another site! beautiful!

99 Alexis 09.17.08 at 5:04 am

I love the design of the site. Especially the colors. Lavender and brown look very nice together.

100 Tiffany 09.17.08 at 5:22 am

I love how convenient it is to browse activities by the age of the baby. This is very useful!

101 Berry 09.17.08 at 6:18 am

Wow! I just discovered your site and already I LOVE it!!! I browsed through the activities you have for the 4-6 months age. I’ve already been inspired by some of them. Can’t wait to read the rest of your site. I love that you have the activities separated into age categories as well as the type of activity.

102 Suzy 09.17.08 at 7:14 am

Very cool site! I love the new clean look!

103 sarah b 09.17.08 at 7:30 am

I LOVE the activity blocks. im going to go now and see what I should do with my 7 month old today!

104 Heather 09.17.08 at 7:58 am

One of the first things I noticed about your site was the blocks on the right with activities for little ones by age group. I am always looking for new things to do with my toddler and enjoy reading the ideas you guys post on this blog. So, I think you are doing a fine job, keep it up! Thanks for the chance on such a fabulous giveaway and congrats on 3 years!

105 kathrine w 09.17.08 at 8:14 am

I like that things are seperated by age groups. Plus everything just looks great in general! Great job!!! Thank you for the chance to win!!!

Blessings,
Kathrine

I love the age appropriate activities you provide. Being a stay at home mom I tend to get a little ummm…antsy! And we run out of activites and sometimes there aren’t a lot of things for the younger babies to do. Your site gives so many great ideas!!

I DO love the new site. Congrats.. I love your book too. I’f love to win one of my very own because I’ve just been borrowing. EDD two weeks and counting! wahoo. I can see a light at the end of the tunnel, but your blog is also a light for me and other mommies (rookie or otherwise). Keep up the awesome stuff you do!

108 Laura Adams 09.17.08 at 10:53 am

I love the activities by age boxes that are so easy to find and use.

109 Gina Stratos 09.17.08 at 11:08 am

110 Sundi 09.17.08 at 11:38 am

I LOVE the baby activities lists! I’m planning on using these for my toddler, preschooler, and baby-on-the-way!

111 Mary A 09.17.08 at 11:41 am

In addition to your tags, I like they way you have divided activities up in the age blocks at the top of the page. It makes it easy to navigate and find what you need. Thanks for the giveaway.

112 Joy 09.17.08 at 12:17 pm

The site is very well organized. You have so much great information, it can be overwhelming, but I can easily navigate to find what I am looking for. The colors are relaxing as well and nice to look at.

113 Amanda 09.17.08 at 12:53 pm

Favorite post: You know, just last night I made the easy kids pants. It was so easy and it worked just like y’all said it would. Loved it, and I’m making another pair tonight from another piece of fabric.

114 Jessica 09.17.08 at 1:46 pm

I just found your site so I can’t say anything about the old layout but I love this layout! Grouping activities by age is great - especially how you’ve broken it up so much. I’ve seen other sites that break things down 6 months at a time but 6 months is a long time especially in the first year. Thanks for this! You’re definitely going into my bookmarks.

115 Heather 09.17.08 at 2:39 pm

I really like the browse by age boxes but I am not crazy about the big brown band at the top of the blog (needs a little something there still). There a compliment and a suggestion!

116 Michelle T 09.17.08 at 2:42 pm

I love that it’s organized by age. Great idea. Thanks

117 Kristie 09.17.08 at 4:12 pm

I love how you have activities by age! I’m always looking for new things to do with my little ones. I really like Activity #329: Play hide and seek. We love to do this and even my 2 year old has a great time!

118 Tricia 09.17.08 at 5:40 pm

I love the new look! Too cute, it’s nice to go to our age range if we want to look up where we are and things we can do, see and try. :D Can’t wait to see more. We link to you all the time! :D

119 Layla 09.17.08 at 6:20 pm

I like the look of the site. It looks clean and is easy to navigate. I like the age blocks and that you can also choose an activity by type. I really related to Activity #574: Survive breastfeeding. I had similar feelings and questions regarding my 1 year old too.

I’m new to the blog, but I really like the Toddler activities–I’m anxious to try some of them and tell my sister-in-law about them. Thanks!

121 Ashlee 09.17.08 at 7:59 pm

I love your site! Keep it up!

122 crissy 09.17.08 at 8:35 pm

Oh Holy Crap. I just found the website. Mr. Man is 7 weeks old and I needed it big time. Minutes ago, I read the “Did Do” list to the husband and he likes it too. Thank you. For a while. before he headed off to work, he was asking what my plans were for the the day. I tried to be nice but inside I thought, “Dude, if you only knew…” I think he’s starting to get it but he’s still, you know, a man.

123 jennifer bowen 09.17.08 at 10:48 pm

wow i love to try and win this not so much for my self but for my friend who’s haveing her frist i think this would make a grate gift for her thanks

124 Ingrid Johanns 09.18.08 at 12:38 am

VERY NICE! I can’t believe I haven’t seen this site before now. Will definitely be visiting again.

Feedback:
Definitely the big blocks of activity-by-age are a big win!
Would only suggest changing maybe the color of the header area - it reminds me of poop - at least on my screen… :) Something a little lighter or maybe just a dark purple taken from the hue on the background?

Good job overall!

125 Donna C. 09.18.08 at 6:49 am

Love your “Only Kind of Know What I’m Doing” T shirt.

126 lisa hazen 09.18.08 at 7:37 am

Your redesign is FABULOUS, ladies! Congratulations and much continued success to you!

127 Marlena U. 09.18.08 at 7:47 am

First time here and I LOVE your site!! I completely appreciate the activities section that is organized by age. I found so many useful tips and am going to try tip #359 (egg hunt) this weekend. I’m always racking my brain to find new activities for my toddler that gets her outside and active. This site is now added as one of my favorites!! Oh, and thanks for hosting such a great giveaway!! m_huston(at)hotmail(dot)com

128 Crystal 09.18.08 at 9:14 am

You two helped convince me to get out of the house and tackle the big firsts — first trip to the grocery store with baby, first big errand day with baby, first lunch out with baby, etc. You two perfectly capture the anxiety that you must face and conquer as a rookie mom. Thanks! And I love the blog entries. They make me happy.

I love the bright bold “Activities by Age” Calendar. I’d love to see a question and answer spot on the front, you could andwer a new question each week.

134 Jenna 09.19.08 at 4:06 am

I am new to your blog but as soon as I saw the age buttons with activities i wanted to explore more! Perfect for busy mums! I’ll be back many times I’m sure!

135 Corrie 09.19.08 at 9:31 am

I love your site because it helps me realize that I am not alone! It also makes me laugh, and that’s a good thing.

136 Kristan 09.19.08 at 1:32 pm

i love how everything is organized by baby’s age…so many sites make it hard to find what i need, or i just have to google a specific topic.

137 Linda 09.19.08 at 4:32 pm

I love the month-by-month activities!

138 TwoWishes 09.19.08 at 10:23 pm

Just discovered your site today, and I’m so excited! Still waiting for baby, but we’re starting to freak out about what’s to come, and it’s great to have both the practical advice and the virtual cameraderie. Congrats on your milestone!

139 Michelle 09.20.08 at 7:34 pm

140 Mary @ Adventures in Mommyland 09.20.08 at 11:42 pm

This is my first time to the site, and the baby age categories caught my eye. Don’t think I could say anything to change since I haven’t really explored yet. Great giveaway, thanks!

141 Monica J. 09.21.08 at 2:45 pm

I love the site design! Simple but chic! You guys have so much information for everyone at different stages. Love it!

142 Aimee T 09.22.08 at 2:16 pm

What a nicely revamped site, love the new look and love to read all the entries. Love the baby age categories! So helpful!

144 Xenia 09.22.08 at 5:38 pm

I like how clear and well-organized your site is, not too cluttered but still plenty of information. The best part is, of course, the Browse Activities by Age of Baby blocks because it’s so handy for any parent to be able to find specific groupings like that. Keep up the great work!

145 Sarah 09.22.08 at 7:04 pm

I hadn’t made it here before, but I noticed and loved the “browse activities by age of baby” buttons right away! What a great way to ensure that you’re always seeing new (and age-appropriate) content! I’ll definitely be hanging out around your site!

149 Casey 09.30.08 at 6:25 am

I loved the article about finding a Halloween costume, I have been searching for a costume for my 14 month old that won’t become overheated in. I liked the idea of the jailbird pajamas that he can wear again. Thanks for the help.

150 Ilissa H. 10.01.08 at 9:05 am

I really love your banner. Probably because of the color and the little graphic on the right hand side. I like it because it looks like a ‘rookie’ drew it. Thanks for the chance. What a wonderful prize pack!

Happy 3rd!

151 Deborah 10.01.08 at 9:52 am

Attitude–I love the attitude of the site. You make big things seem so small and calm when I need it and make me laugh at this crazy world of parenting.

I have a toddler now and another one coming soon and this site certainly helps me when I have brain drain on what to do with the toddler while my body screams for me to sleep.

love it!

152 Jessie 10.01.08 at 9:54 am

I have always loved that you guys had tabs to find activities by age. It made it so easy to find ideas with my first kiddo. The second baby? Poor little guys rarely gets his own activity, I’m just too busy! He’s just along for the ride, and he seems to be lovin’ it.

163 Berkeley's Mom 10.01.08 at 9:22 pm

Great site. At 36 weeks pregnant, I know I will be back with questions and ideas!

168 Stephanie 10.03.08 at 3:35 pm

To be honest, the reason I got hooked on your site was your blog. I just loved reading the first person account of someone (thankfully) going through all the parenting phases/trials before me. And since I used to live in Berkeley and SF, I read your local references with great longing and nostalgia. Keep up the great work!

169 Brandy 10.04.08 at 2:13 pm

I love how you have the activities divided by age group. I’ll definitely be checking back for some activity ideas. :)

170 Kathy 10.04.08 at 9:46 pm

The activities by age! Genius.

171 Rachael G. 10.05.08 at 11:02 am

I don’t know how long you’ve been around, but, I sure could have used this place when my other two were littler! Luckily, I found this place in time for Numero 3 and we have used a lot of the suggestions we read about here. Thanks for the great site (and contest).

172 Beanie Watts 10.06.08 at 7:28 am

I think it’s great that you recognize that it is important for mom and baby to get out of the house and do things!!

173 Liz BK 10.07.08 at 5:57 pm

I love finding random activity ideas… just surfing from tag to tag. Even if I don’t end up doing many of them, I bet the ideas will re-surface in a few months, only I’ll think they’re my original thoughts! Thanks, RookieMoms.

174 Kelly Salefski 10.08.08 at 11:45 am

I really like the Activities by Age. It’s been so helpful!!

Great contest and congrats!!

175 sherry g. 10.08.08 at 12:29 pm
