I don't know if this qualifies as "lovely" but my grandma rode a tractor to bring on her labor. It's at least a little "funny". And when my dad was born (her second), she had to have a police escort cuz the baby was in such a hurry. My other grandma had a very loooooooooong labor. I must have gotten the 44 hour labor-thing from her side of the family. Thanks for the idea!
