I hope the person who gave this stool to us can forgive me for what I have done.
We received this stool as a gift when Julian was born. Six and a half years later, the boy had zero interest in sports, and I felt like the stool just doesn’t suit him.
And so I spray painted it.
(Of course, over the past six weeks he has developed an INTENSE passion for both football and fútbol. But he did agree to the stool makeover in advance.)
And as you can guess, I am much happier to have the yellow stool in my bathroom than the original one.

And as an extra bonus, you got the intense joy of spray painting something!
I’ve had a stool sitting in my basement for over a year that is in serious need of a makeover/paint job. Thanks for the inspiration!
Ahhh, the joys of repurposing the stuff lying around the house! I’ve been on a “no new purchases” kick for a while, and it’s amazing what you can make work with a little creativity.
Pretty good spray paint job! I like that yellow, not too loud but just right for the bathroom stool.
OMG– we have the SAME stool! received as a baby gift. i immediately thought i had to paint it but wait a year or so hoping the gift givers would not notice. am so glad to see someone do it first—it really is such a nice, sturdy stool. i hated to keep it in the closet forever due to the terrible graphics.
[...] We still have two “JULIAN” stools, but the third has been made nameless with a coat of spray paint. [...]
