In response to Sarah's question, how do you manage to write this stuff down? I can only say that I've got two boys, 2 and 3, 16 months apart (do not attempt this at home), and I write on whatever's at hand and stuff it in a drawer or pile the pieces of paper on the counter. Often, I write on my hand. I find that it takes about 5 seconds to write down 8 words, and that even five minutes later, if I don't write it down, I cannot remember the exact wording. And exact wording is everything.
And Whitney, these are some GREAT words. My oldest son conducts discoverments (experiment+discovery) and takes sun rests on the grass when it's warm out.

Whitney, I love this list! I'm always trying to remember to write stuff like this down. But of course with multiple kids and perpetual mommy brain, I haven't been very successful. Any tips to share? Do you keep a journal for your kids?

Yanky is brilliant! I think I'm going to start using that one myself. My 6 year old can't STAND sweaters and jackets that are so yanky that they make the sleeve of your shirt bunch all up on itself!
