I like thinking of stats and putting them on a card — though we haven’t done that for years — but the effort of being so clever AND fitting it all into the graphs provided was too much for me.

I got the same one from Tiny Prints in Red. I really liked it because I could add pictures to the back to. It also says Holiday Fun! I am such a sucker for marketing, got the promo card in the mail promoting that template…. saw this post….. bam…. same card. Oh well.

I think they will be arriving soon. I’ll let you know how they turn out.

@Karen, I had the same experience, hence the list of silly metrics I posted. Seriously, every one of the example cards shows a newly adopted pet. Am I leading a less-than family since we have no pets? If we get guinea pigs, as requested by the kids,should we send an announcement?

Love getting cards from people! Highlight of the season for me. I liked the info cards at first glance, but a lot of them seem skewed towards people w more than one kid. With no new pet and just the one baby (who was already announced via card 8 mos ago) I didn’t have a lot to put on there that worked with their schemes. I went with same as Sarah, shutterfly card with photos on the front and a short message on the back.

I too love giving and receiving holiday photo cards. Some years I get organized to write a note and then attach it to the backs of all the cards. This year I may spring for the more expensive ($1.39/each I think?) 2-sided cardstock version on shutterfly so you can put a photo(s) on one side, and print a short note on the other. Would save a lot of time.

I had regrettably admitted to myself that my cards will be late this year, but now I’m glad I waited! These are really cute and could be the perfect mix of the cards I’ve always done + the info note/letter that I’ve wanted to do but never found the time. Thanks for the tip!

I also like the year in review cards, neat idea!

We always send out cards–been doing it since the year we got married when it was just us and our dogs. We set up the tripod and take a picture on our red couch and upload it into a traditional 4×8 card. Each year we take the same picture but we keep adding kids so this year it is our 3 dogs and our 3 kids. It is so fun for me to see the evolution of our family this way. I love receiving cards and I like sending them too. I don’t write notes though.

When my oldest was a baby I found a shop on etsy that makes custom Christmas ornaments with your holiday photo scaled down. They are so amazing. I get them done every year, one for each kid and one for me so when they are grown and gone, I’ll still have mine.
