I love this! Whitney sounds like just what I needed when I was a new mom, before I became rather like Whitney myself And I totally agree on the movie thing. Great place for babies. Not at all great for toddlers. Even worse for older toddlers. OK again for bigger preschoolers. Not the end of the world if you bring a 3-year-old along to a movie, but not much fun for anyone involved, either.

Cute list! But I gotta tell you, my kids love an occasional movie theater outing. They are 2.5 and 4.5 and loved Toy Story 3, sat quietly through the whole thing. I think it’s important as fellow supportive Moms that we remember what doesn’t work for us might work just fine (and actually be fun!) for other families. I remind myself of that often!

so true about the movies. Shalev’s first flick was Million Dollar Baby. He nursed/slept through the whole thing. Five years later we tried Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeaqual and both kids were terrified by the previews so we left (and got our money back!). We recently did Toy Story and they were OK and claimed they enjoyed it after but I could tell that was only for my benefit. We’ll wait another few years I think.

You two are awfully adorable.

Love it! And the photos! That one of Holden and Milo on the chair is the cutest ever. And me showing off our book? I first thought, what is wrong with me in this picture? Oh yeah, I was post-partum. I pumped in a hotel’s conference room soon after that picture was taken.

I’ve thought of another 5 things I’ve learned from you that weren’t in the previous post. We’ll have to do this again next month.
